Our School Day
School Times:
- The school gates open at 8.30am and close at 8.40am.
- Reception children are picked up from the classroom at 3.10pm.
- All other year groups finish at 3.20pm (Monday to Thursday).
- On Friday, school finishes at 2.30pm (2.20pm for Reception).
- This amounts to a total time of 32.5 hours a week.
Break times
All children will have a morning break of 15 minutes.
- Children in Reception and Year 1 receive a piece of fruit as funded by the governments School Fruit and Vegetable Scheme.
- Children are encouraged to bring in a healthy, nutritious snack each day to keep their energy levels up. No nuts, chocolate bars, fizzy drinks, or sweets.
Lunch Times
Lunchtime includes time for sitting and eating in the dining hall and time for playing outside.
Reception and L Class have lunch from 11:50am-12:50pm.
Years 1, 2, 5, 6 and R Class (Bear) have lunch from 12.20 -1.20pm.
Years 3, 4 and R Class (Bee) have lunch from 12.50 - 1.50pm.
Breakfast Club Provision
- Breakfast club starts at 7.30am (please note, this is a paid service, you must sign up on Arbor).
- We run a DfE funded breakfast program from 8:05am, places are limited. Bookings MUST be made in advance.
Friday Club
Sheringham Primary School hours are from 8.50am - 3.20pm, Monday to Thursday and from 8.50am to 2.30pm on Fridays. We realise that the earlier Friday finish may pose difficulties for some families with pre-arranged work or study commitments and so we offer a Friday Club from 2.30 - 3.20pm.
