The School Council serves as the voice of the students and it is made up of a girl and a boy from each of the classes in Year 1 to Year 6. The election of the School Councillors always creates a buzz at the beginning of each academic year as lots of students are always keen to actively take part in making important decisions that affect the school as well as the wider community in a very positive way.

In recent years, the Councillors have made an impact in their discussions about girls’ and boys’ football, healthy school dinners, anti-bullying week, walk once a week scheme, after-school clubs, the new school building, keeping our environment clean, and fantastic rewards to celebrate excellence across the school. The School Council also helps to organise popular charitable fundraising events in the likes of MacMillan Cancer Support, Comic and Sports Relief. The executive roles within the Council consist of a Chair Person, Vice Chair Person, Treasurer, Secretary and Vice Secretary. They operate under the direction and supervision of Mrs R Arthur, a member of the Social Inclusion Team.

This school is part of the Learning in Harmony Trust, a charitable company registered in England and Wales with company number 09148738.
